That Was THE Best Wedding EVER!!!

That's what your guests will be saying if you follow these easy, common-sense, helpful hints and tips that we have put together for your wedding! Every couple wants their event to be EPIC and talked about for years and years to come!

 

The key is considering your guests FIRST! It is not who spent the most money on their wedding, but who paid attention to detail and made sure the guests were entertained! Guests, for the most part, will not remember what your decorations or clothes looked like. They WILL remember what you fed them, how you entertained them, and what they had to drink! So here's what you need... 

 

THE RIGHT VENDORS!

First and foremost, HIRE THE RIGHT VENDORS! They must be PROFESSIONAL, PROFICIENT, EFFICIENT, AND FUN!

 

HAVE A THEME!

Suggest a special dress attire for your guests to wear...a unique theme and/or a special color...your photos will be LEGENDARY! The guests will feel extra special and your wedding will have more of an 'EVENT' feeling versus a party! 

 

BRIEF WEDDING WITH A GREAT PROGRAM!

Keep the wedding brief...20 minutes tops, not including your entrance and exit. Get the party started as quickly as possible. 

 

GREAT FOOD, DRINKS & MUSIC!

You MUST have outstanding FOOD (not expensive...just GOOD and TASTEFUL), adequate drink selections, GREAT music, and a FUN group of invited guests! Ensure there is enough food for all of your guests. Have an open bar and do not ask your guests to bring cash for drinks...some have already spent their budgets on new clothing, travel, lodging, and your gift! Thank them in return! Try to create a signature drink with a unique name!

 

LOTS OF DANCING!

Have a selection of hostesses to run around and encourage anyone who isn't dancing to get up on the dance floor! Hire a dance instructor who can show off some swing dance moves or teach some line dances to the guests...many DJs do that now! Get the party started as quickly as possible. Let your guests dance as early as you can...no prolonged toasts or speeches!

 

PERSONALIZATION AND GREAT SEATING CHART!

Have a great seating arrangement where guests are as familiar with each other as possible. If not possible, add things to your tables and event that encourage your guests to mingle...photo booth, ice breakers, entertainers, quick games, etc. The most fun for wedding guests is when everyone is dancing and there is obvious love among the families and friends! You don't have to break the bank to have a great wedding, just include a few personalized details to make the event special!

 

GUESTS COME FIRST!

Show your appreciation to your out-of-town, hotel guests by providing them with a nice welcome basket with things they can use, like water, a list of local attractions, restaurants, and snacks. Make sure you visit EACH and EVERY table and greet your guests personally! Give your guests favors that they won't automatically throw away or leave on the tables as they go home! 

 

Say a special 'thank you' to your guests! One couple did something very special for their guests during for their outdoor wedding and reception. They gave a special reading in a promise to each of the guests, which read:

 

Today is our opportunity for us to say thank you.

Thank you to those who held us as crying babies through the night.

Thank you to those who shared our teenage turmoils.

Thank you to the friends who have helped us understand what this love really is.

Now that we've made promises to each other, we want to make a promise to you.

We will listen carefully to your dreams.

We will be the light that shines when you need it most.

We will continue to celebrate life with you.

And, please, when or if times are tough between us,

Remind us of the beauty of this day we are sharing together

Now everybody close your eyes

Reach both your hands high into the sky,

Feel the vibration of love...this love that can be seen from the heavens...high up above.

Now, tilt your face toward the sky, and on 1-2-3, yell "I love you!"

 

END WITH A BANG!

Create a memorable exit...if your budget provides, create a firework show, or if not, a confetti send-off (if the venue allows), or a sparkler or battery-lit candle exit! A great exit makes gorgeous photos!

 

Bottom-line is to make sure that your wedding is a true reflection of  both of you, but does not cause you to have to pay for one special day for years to come! It's not about going broke to have fun for your wedding weekend...it's about finding innovative ways to have a great time!
